| estates reservoir - 1964
This covered reservoir in Piedmont, California offered Robert Royston the opportunity to create art on a grand scale. A composition of biomorphic ground planes juxtaposed against smaller rectilinear forms, it was obviously inspired by abstract painting. The rooftop garden shown at right, designed by noted Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burl Marx, exhibits similar forms and relationships. |
