estates reservoir - 1964

Large, rather formal fountains enliven the reservoir deck and provide eye catching vertical elements to the design. The fountains, planter, and overlapping surface planes can be seen from the adjacent roadway, but the full composition can really be appreciated only from overhead. In this sense the project falls short of some of Royston's other work, since there are no tall buildings near by from which to gain an elevated point of view.
